Although production has just kicked off and you’d think he’d be deluged with work and questions from his crew, Bryan Singer remains committed to his unofficial task of Social Media Chronicler for the process of making X-Men: Apocalypse. Today brings the first image of Jubilee (Lana Condor) and Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) on set.

Condor’s Jubilee certainly seems to be dressed as you might expect from the comic book, which could lead fans to hope that the 1980s setting means we get more of the mutant team in their original uniforms. As for Turner, she mostly just looks happy to be skipping Sansa Stark’s formal dresses.
The film, which takes place in 1983, finds Professor Xavier (James McAvoy), Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and Beast (Nicholas Hoult) confronting a powerful new threat to... well, everyone. Yes, it's Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac). They’ll have help from younger versions of Jubilee and Jean, plus Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Psylocke (Olivia Munn) and Scott Summers (Tye Sheridan), while Angel (Ben Hardy) is also around, but may not be quite as friendly.
Singer recently shared new concept art with Empire, which you can find here, and there is more information in the new issue, which is out now. X-Men: Apocalypse will be out on May 19, 2016.
