If you’re a die hard fan of Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright and Nick Frost’s Cornetto Trilogy collaboration – Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz and this year’s The World’s End – you likely know the less-than-complicated story behind its inception. But if you were wondering, or you just want to hear the trio and others talk about it while showing off footage from all three, take a look at the featurette below.

The World’s End is, according to Wright, a thematic wrap-up of the first two movies, albeit with a new story and characters. “It does continue and wrap up themes from the other movies.”

Also addressed? The fact that none of the three films were – or are – intended as parodies and that the original Cornetto reference grew out of the fact that the ice cream treat was Wright’s favourite method of dealing with hangovers in college, the big lush.

With The World’s End, we find Pegg as Gary King, looking to rekindle old friendships and complete a legendary pub crawl from his youth, only to discover that his old home town is no longer quite as welcoming as it once was. It’ll blast into our cinemas on July 19 before heading to America on August 23. For more on the film, check out the August issue of **Empire, which lands on the shelves on Thursday July 27.
