You've seen the trailer, you've dreamt about the gently swaying cornfields, now prepare for the beautiful new poster for Terrence Malick's new buddy-comedy visual poem, To The Wonder.

As with all the recent releases in Malick's fast-swelling filmography, To The Wonder has had time to breathe and build a following on the awards circuit - allowing for the odd bamboozled audience member - and will be especially anticipated by those who've longed for the great auteur to return to the wide open spaces of Days Of Heaven and Badlands.

Malick's treatise on the nature of love and fidelity is played out by a new roster of actors that includes man-of-the-moment Ben Affleck as Neil, a Midwesterner torn between two women. One, Olga Kurylenko's single mum, is in France; the other, Rachel McAdams, is an old flame from his hometown in Oklahoma. Can Javier Bardem's Father Quintana help him to find happiness? Possibly not. He's having a crisis of faith of his own. Rats!

Expect few easy answers to life's challenges and even fewer car chases but plenty to ponder and landscapes that, with ** The Tree of Life**'s Emmanuel Lubezki behind the camera, are certain to dazzle. To The Wonder is in cinemas from February 22.
