Kate Beckinsale is the latest star to join the cast of Winged Creatures, after Forest Whitaker, Guy Pearce and Dakota Fanning each recently signed on for a role in the weighty drama.
The story is being adapted from a novel by Roy Frierich, and concerns a small group of people who manage to come out of a restaurant massacre alive. Each goes through their own little journey towards understanding mortality, yada yada yada. But what really caught our eye on this one was the fact that it'll be directed by Australian director Rowan Woods. If you're lucky, you will have caught his **Little Fish **recently, and if you're really lucky you'll have seen his previous effort, a staggeringly good character piece called **The Boys **- difficult to find, but well worth seeking out, and a film that marked Woods as one to watch.
Shooting is expected to commence in the mid March.
