Western Next For Tarantino

He has covered gangsters, martial arts and the WWII historical epic, but it seems that Quentin Tarantino has an itch to retreat from Europe and go back to the old country, by making a Western.

The animated director excitedly made his way down the red carpet at the London premiere for his latest Inglourious Basterds, stopping to tell us: "Well I still want to do a Western, I haven't done a Western yet. I keep flirting about with it, but I haven't done it yet."

Despite having projects as diverse as martial-arts remake Come Drink With Me (not to be confused with cult cookery show Come Dine With Me) and a re-imagining of Russ Meyer's **Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! **on the roster, it looks like they could all be pushed to one side if QT can hone the cowboy idea into a script, which he hasn't just yet: "Well I won't be able to do anything in ten months from now, because I don't even know what the next movie's gonna be."

Also in attendance were stars of the film Diane Kruger (looking sultry in a Balmain mini-dress), Cristoph Waltz and Michael Fassbender, as well as R&B super-starlet Rihanna who arrived with acid blonde alt-popster Mr Hudson and sporting a quiff to make Morrissey weep.
