Weisz Is A Whistleblower

Rachel Weisz has signed up to play a whistleblower in, er, The Whistleblower, a new indie political drama that is not to be confused with Steven Soderbergh / Matt Damon drama The Informant or Michael Mann / Russell Crowe drama The Insider. How to spot the difference? This one stars a lady instead of an actor who's put on lots of weight for the role.

The film is based on the true story of Kathryn Bolkovac, a former Nebraska policewoman who took a job contracting for the UN Peacekeeping mission in Bosnia. She sued her employers after they fired her when she exposed the involvement of UN officers in the sex trade in Bosnia.

Larysa Kondracki and Ellis Kirwin wrote the script, with Kondracki set to make her feature directing debut on the film.
