The cast of Christopher Nolan's Inception continues to mushroom in size and talent quotient, with the news that Ken Watanabe and Tom Hardy have signed up to join Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Cillian Murphy and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the film.
The plot's still under wraps, with that line about it being "a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind" still all that anyone has to go on, but we do know that Watanabe, who previously worked with Nolan on Batman Begins, is playing a villain who's blackmailing DiCaprio's character, and that Hardy will play a member of a team led by DiCaprio's "CEO type". We're a little worried that Nolan appears to be typecasting Watanabe as a bad guy when in fact he's one of the nicest guys in showbusiness.
The film's due to shoot this summer for release next, by which time hopefully we'll have a clue what's going on with it beyond that single line of description.
