Warwick Davis Returning For Star Wars: Episode VII

It’s a question that has been on many a fan’s mind. Well, several. Well, mostly Warwick’s to be honest: will the man who played Wicket in **Return Of The Jedi **and the Ewok spin-off films before appearing in The Phantom Menace in a variety of roles show up in **Star Wars: **Episode VII? Now, thanks to Mr. Davis himself, we know the answer via his Twitter feed and a new video.

Of course, we don’t yet know who or what he’ll be playing in the new film – the video doesn’t specify and J.J. Abrams would probably lock him in the Nockmaar dungeons if he did – but it feels like the director is continuing to pay homage to the original trilogy, with lots of practical effects and, of course, a batch of Davis’ old castmates including Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker.

Davis has made it in just under the wire (though he’ll already have shot his role, no doubt), because according to producer Kathleen Kennedy, Abrams and co. are just three short weeks away from wrapping production on Episode VII.

With John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Christina Chong, Crystal Clarke and Pip Anderson also in the cast, Star Wars: Episode VII will arrive on December 18, 2015.
