Voyage Of The Dawn Treader Trailer

With Disney having ditched its association with Walden Media’s Narnia franchise after disappointing box office returns for Prince Caspian, it’s been left to Fox to pick up the slack and hang the rigging for the third outing, The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader. And while the trailer was originally planned to arrive in conjunction with Toy Story 3, the marketing department proved to be leakier than the painting used in the film, with grabs cropping up all over the web. Now the full official teaser trailer has arrived.

**The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader **draws the younger two Pevensie children, Edmund (Skander Keynes) and Lucy (Georgie Henley) back to Narnia, dragging along unwilling and annoying cousin Eustace (Son of Rambow’s Will Poulter).

There, they find King Caspian (Ben Barnes), rodent warrior Reepicheep (with Bill Nighy taking over voice duties) and more requiring their help with yet another epic mission, this time to the Lonely Isles and beyond. Can they survive encounters with dragons, merfolk and lost warriors and make it to the edge of the world? Probably, but that would be spoiling things.

Michael Apted took the helm for this one, and from the looks of the trailer, the budget has been trimmed, though the Australian locations helped with the wow factor. Take a look at the footage below and decide for yourself whether this latest entry can keep the Narnia series afloat.

The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Dawn Treader sets sail on December 10.
