Not to be confused with Single White Female, upcoming thriller Unknown White Male has landed a director, in the shape of Juame Collet-Sarra, best known for the House of Wax remake and Goal II: Living The Dream.

The film's plot, based on the book Out Of My Head by Didier Van Cauwelaert, centres on a doctor and his wife who go to a medical conference in Berlin. After a car accident, he recovers to find that another man has assumed his identity, and desperately attempts to recover his own life. According to what we've read about the book, the results are "part moral fable, part Robert Ludlum-style thriller".

Joel Silver is producing the film, with Leonard Goldberg. The script was written by Oliver Butcher and Stephen Cornwell, who wrote The Gamekeeper, which Guy Ritchie is scheduled to direct next year. Collet-Sarra recently finished Orphan with Vera Farmiga, so expect him to get started on this soon.
