Joel Zwick may be getting on in years (he’s 66 and thus officially an OAP), and his last big hit may have been the middle-aged catnip that was My Big Fat Greek Wedding, but he’s still keen to show that he’s down with da kidz with his new movie, Did You Get My Text.
And no, there doesn’t appear to be a question mark at the end of the title, which will send our subs crazy.
Anyway, it’s a rom-com written by actor Jaleel White about a young man who inadvertently starts a relationship with a girl while using his friend’s phone. Their courtship then falls foul of a series of technological errors, and hilarity no doubt ensues.

The film is produced by Matthew Cooke and Bert Marcus, who are also producing a new documentary called Propaganda, about the suppression of freedom of speech in the States. Cooke will write and direct the documentary, which will also be produced by Entourage’s Adrian Grenier.
