Trainwreck Trailer Stumbles In

If you’ve ever seen Amy Schumer’s stand up comedy or her sketch show Inside Amy Schumer, you’ll know she draws a lot of material from her own life experiences and those of the people around her. She’s back in semi-autobiographical territory for Trainwreck, which she wrote and stars in and has Judd Apatow calling the shots. Take a look at the first trailer.

Here is the trailer for [@TrainwreckMovie](https://twitter.com/TrainwreckMovie) [#Trainwreck](https://twitter.com/hashtag/Trainwreck?src=hash) We are very proud. I hope you like it > > — Amy Schumer (@amyschumer) [February 11, 2015](https://twitter.com/amyschumer/status/565556121877086208)

Trainwreck finds Schumer playing Amy, a young woman who has taken her divorced father’s words to heart and essentially given up on the idea of settling down. Her twenties and early thirties have been filled with a string of one-night stands, even as her sister Kim (Brie Larson) has gone the other way with marriage and kids.

But then Amy meets sports doctor Aaron (Bill Hader), and things seem different. She sleeps over and even seems open to the idea of more than one date. Which is a scary new development…

Apatow has proven himself adept and spotting talent, though Schumer is much more established than many of the people – your Seth Rogens, your Jonah Hills – he’s helped nurture in the past. It’ll be interesting to see an Apatow film he didn’t write himself and Schumer is certainly a funny new comic voice.

The film, which also features Vanessa Bayer, John Cena, Dave Attell, Ezra Miller, Jon Glaser and Marisa Tomei, will be out here on August 28. And for those who prefer the ruder Red Band version (which seems more fitting for the Schumer humour anyway), check it out in its NSFW glory below.
