Whole Lotta Sole is a different kettle of fish* to director 's Terry George's most recent output. Considering he made Hotel Rwanda, there was plenty of scope for adding some levity to his range, and he's definitely done that will this heist movie set in Ireland.
The film's new trailer has landed and shows Brendan Fraser caught in the middle of some Irish capers. The man with the Thompson machine-gun is young father Jimbo Reagan (Martin McCann), driven to desperate measures by his debt to local gangster 'Mad Dog' Flynn (David O’Hara).
The only problem is that his choice of target - the market than lends Whole Lotta Sole its fishy pun title - is owned by Flynn, so Jimbo's ill-gotten gains include records of the mobster's ill-gotten gains. Hardly likely to ingratiate him with the crim.
Stumbling unwittingly into this mayhem is Brendan Fraser's American tourist and his girlfriend (Tron Legacy's Yaya DaCosta), taken hostage by the gun-toting dad, while outside Colm Meaney tries to get a handle on the situation as the police chief.
Look out for this in cinemas in the not-too-distant future, with the release date yet to be confirmed.
