Tom Arnold Stars In Slow News Day

Good news for fans of Tom Arnold (so that’d be Tom Arnold, his agent, and his bank manager): the fast-talking comedian who brought supercharged charisma to the likes of Cradle 2 The Grave and Soulplane!* has signed onto another movie.

The former Mr. Roseanne Barr will star in Remarkable Power, an independent comedy drama from director Brandon Beckner.

The film revolves around a late-night radio DJ who stages a stunt to try to save his ailing show. When the stunt revolves in murder, it changes the lives of a number of disparate Los Angelenos.

Arnold will play a low-rent private detective, and is also executive producing the movie. The rest of the cast includes former Next Big Thing Kip Pardue, Weeds’ Kevin Nealon, and a bunch of other people who aren’t quite as famous as Tom Arnold.

Curiously, the project is listed on the IMDb as being in post-production, so we’re not quite sure what the deal is with Remarkable Power. But then again, we’ve consulted with scientists and experts, who have told us that this may be the slowest news day for 38 years, so you’re stuck with this story, we’re afraid.

And yes, we know that he was good in True Lies. Love ya really, Tom!
