If you're as excited by Working Title's adaptation of John le Carré's classic spy thriller as we are, you'll probably already know about its gilded cast - the greatest array of British thesps this side of the Hogwarts - and its feted director, Let The Right One In's Tomas Alfredson. You'll also know its source material is a spy tale so labyrinthine you could stick a minotaur in it and call it a maze.
All that remains on this suitably dank Tuesday morning is to introduce the film's brand new one-sheet, flaunting its protagonist, world-weary MI6 spook George Smiley (Gary Oldman).
It's as elegant as you'd expect - yes, we have a crush on this film - with the release date concealed amid all the code and codenames.
At its simplest, the plot sees Oldman's master spy brought out of semi-retirement to smoke out the Russian mole at the heart of the 'Circus', MI6's HQ in London's Cambridge Circus. But who is it? And how is Karla, Smiley's KGB nemesis communicating with him? Of course, nothing is what it seems. We're already forming an orderly queue and suggest you do likewise.
