Zack Snyder's pleasanty demented-sounding Sucker Punch is due to hit out screens on March 25 next year in - inevitably- 3D. And now it's been confirmed that it will also be appearing on Imax in 3D for good measure, following up the Imax success of Snyder's last film, Watchmen, and 300 before that.
This won't come as any great shock to, er, anyone, as it's part of Warner's commitment to show more of their films in the super-big format, and is very much par for the course for Snyder. Still, it should be good news for film fans - the multi-layered story of Baby Doll (Emily Browning) and her four fellow inmates in the 1960s asylum where she has been unjustly incarcerated should have some crazy visuals that are going to look spectacular on the big, big screen.
The film also stars Carla Gugino and Robin Hood's Oscar Isaac, with the four other central characters played by Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens and Jamie Chung. It's out on March 25, 2011.
