Comedy drama Your Sister’s Sister comes to our screens boasting a serious amount of indie movie cred. Written and directed by Humpday’s Lynn Shelton and co-starring Mark Duplass, the movie has done the usual festival tour (Toronto, Sundance etc.) and has now produced a trailer, which you can watch below.

The plot finds Duplass as Jack, a man still lodged deep in the pit of grief after his brother’s death a year ago. Seemingly unable to get on with his life, he’s really starting to worry best pal Iris (Emily Blunt). She thinks she might have an idea to help him, and sends him off to her family’s remote cabin on Puget Sound. It’s supposed to offer isolation and relaxation, but Jack discovers it also contains Iris’ sister, Hannah (Rosemarie De Witt).

She’s trying to overcome a relationship that has just self-destructed, and happily agrees to spend the evening drinking with Jack. One thing leads to another, and the pair falls into bed together. Their hung-over morning reverie is shattered by the arrival of Iris bringing groceries, and soon a romantic triangle is brewing.

It’s the sort of story that could easily tip into cliché, but we’re hoping the talent involved keeps it away from the usual danger zones.

Your Sister’s Sister is out on June 29.
