Michael Moore’s latest attempt to stick it to the man (and, let’s face it, ‘the man’ should be well and truly stuck by now) has finally found a UK release date. After causing ripples in Cannes and calls for Moore’s arrest/execution back in the US, Sicko will grace British cinemas on October 26th.
Corporate greed, American gun culture and the Bush administration have all had their time in Moore’s crosshairs but it’s America’s ailing health care system that gets a good old kicking this time around, showing that if you do anything from cut your finger to catch Ebola, America is not the place you want to be when you need a plaster. And who knows, this may be the film that finally stops us cursing the NHS for five minutes and count our blessings for the availability of good, old-fashioned free health, .
