Summer must be just around the corner because today seems to be the day for blockbuster trailers. The greenest of which is that for Shrek The Third, which can be viewed here. The, yes, third installment of the chartreuse ogre franchise sees Shrek and Fiona unwillingly installed as King and Queen of Far Far Away. Preferring loafing around in muck, Shrek tries to install young Artie (Justin Timberlake bringing some sexy back), while Fiona and Far Far Away's princesses fend off a takeover bid from Prince Charming.
The trailer starts off a little light on giggles, but there's a good bit of non-lying from Pinocchio and a solid gag with a boat, a bottle and typical Shrek clumsiness. If this maintains the quality of the first two then Pirates and Spider-Man 3 may have major competition for biggest film of 2007.
