The good news is, after a string of serious roles (including Crash, this year's Truman Capote biopic Infamous, and forthcoming thriller Premonition), Sandra Bullock is back to doing what she does best – comedy. The bad news is… well, if you're as much of a Sandra Bullock fan as Empire's former Office Manager, there isn't any.
She's set to produce and star in One Of The Guys, wherein she'll play a Tomboy who suddenly embraces her girly-girl side, much to the dismay of her wide circle of lad-friends.
Sound familiar? It should – it's a very similar premise to both Miss Congeniality films – but hey, when you're onto a faaabulous thing (like a role dominated by costumes incorporating Jimmy Choos), why change it? More power to you, Ms Bullock. Right on sista, etc.
Don't get us wrong – we like Sandra in drama just fine, but she's an actress who can actually pull off cute (which we're guessing will come into this somewhere), and as we've said, she's is very good as this sort of thing, proving an adept physical comedienne (yes she falls down a lot, but it's harder than it looks. Really. Don't believe us? Take a look at someone pratfalling badly).
Apparently there's no script yet – Bullock and producing partner Todd Garner have purchased the story as a pitch from newbie screenwriting brothers Tom and Tim Mullen. No other cast are yet attached.
