Ryan Gosling has been selected to play opposite Rachel Weisz in Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones. Weisz has already been cast as the mother of a girl who is kidnapped and murdered but watches over her grieving family from beyond. Gosling will play Weisz's husband and father of the kidnapped girl.
Gosling's great casting for virtually any role – watch his performance in Half Nelson and tell us he couldn't do absolutely anything asked of him – but Jackson seems to be casting extremely young on this movie. At only 26 Gosling will be playing the father of two teenage daughters as well as a younger son. Boy must have been an early developer.
