Oscar nominee Richard Jenkins is putting on his serious actor hat again to help Julia Roberts find herself in drama Eat, Pray, Love.

The actor, who swings between crazy comedies such as Step Brothers and Fun With Dick And Jane, and award-baiting dramas such as The Visitor, will play a Texan befriended by Roberts in an Indian ashram as she voyages through self-discovery. Roberts plays the married woman who has a moment of realisation after an attempt to get pregnant highlights that she is not leading the life she had planned.

The film, based on the best-selling book 'Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything, Across Italy, India and Indonesia' by Elizabeth Gilbert, is to be helmed by Running With Scissors writer/ director Ryan Murphy, and begins shooting in July in locations across New York, and well, Rome, India and Bali.

The film has changed hands between studios: originally set for release through Paramount Pictures, it's now being made for Columbia instead. It's being produced by Roberts' **Ocean's Eleven **co-star Brad Pitt through his company Plan B.

Jenkins has a busy year ahead with Waiting For Forever, **Norman **and Dear John all in post-production, as well as parts in upcoming Hunter S. Thompson adaptation The Rum Diary and Joss Whedon's thriller The Cabin In The Woods.
