We’ve just made it through this year’s Valentine’s Day, but Sony’s Screen Gems division and director Steve Pink already want us thinking about next year’s Cupidity. Not because they’re planning some horrific sequel to Valentine’s Day, but because they’ve remade About Last Night and are releasing it next year. Check out the Red Band trailer full of some possibly NSFW lurve connections below.
Working once again from David Mamet’s play Sexual Perversity In Chicago (which was originally adapted into prattle of the sexes rom com favourite **About Last Night… **during the Brat Pack heyday of the ‘80s), the film follows two very different pairs of lovers.
Joy Bryant and Michael Ealy play the couple that get together and seem to fit perfectly for the most part. Then we have Kevin Hart and Regina Hall as the squabbling best friends to our central pair, who form their own strange bond.
We’re still not sure About Last Night… needed the remake treatment, but that was never going to stop this. With Hart and co, there’s at least a good chance of some laughs. The new **About Last Night **will hit US screens on February 14 next year, but there’s no set date for the UK just yet. We figure it’ll probably be day and date or shortly afterwards.
