With cheap-as-chips a cappella comedy Pitch Perfect turning into $133 million worth of sleeper hit, it’s little wonder Universal commissioned a sequel. And box-office projections on that film must be pointing north of that figure because Rebel Wilson has confirmed that Pitch Perfect 3 is also on the way.
Although the studio has yet to officially confirmed the news, Australian actress revealed to Los Angeles Times reporter Amy Kaufman that the threequel is on its way and she’ll be back to reprise her role as Fat Amy, the joker in the Barden Bellas’ pack. The first film had lungs the size of Zeppelins and a similarly big heart, and audiences will soon get to reconnect with the group's ongoing musical mishaps as the initially sniffy Beca Mitchell (Anna Kendrick) and the gang experience a potentially career-limiting Janet Jackson moment in front of the President.

As well as the returning cast you were hoping for - Wilson as Amy, Adam DeVine as the leader of the Treblemakers, Bumper Allen, and many more - there are plenty of new names to look forward to, including Hailee Steinfeld as Bella newcomer Emily. You've also got mud wrestling, some magic involving dry leaves and the concept of "Loser" as a language.
Catch the trailer in the full below, and the whole darn, Elizabeth Banks-directed movie when **Pitch Perfect 2 **opens in the UK on May 15.
