If you were making a politically incorrect movie about a sex-addict con-man based on a novel by seasoned shit-stirrer Chuck “Fight Club” Palahniuk, what kind of soundtrack would you plump for?

We’re guessing that you’d eschew the pop-tastic stylings of McFly and lean towards the rather more refined musings of Radiohead. And that’s just what director Choke Clark Gregg and Palahniuk have done.

Following Radiohead guitarist Johnny Greenwood’s cinematic soundtrack debut with Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood, he’s joined forces with his fellow band mates to craft the soundscape for the Sam Rockwell-starring flick

Speaking on BBC Radio 6Music’s Breakfast Show, Palahniuk explained how it all stemmed from his love for the band’s music.

“Clark Gregg knew that I'd written Choke while listening to Pablo Honey, with Creep, over and over and over,” said the author. “So Clark got Radiohead to contribute a song; to write a song for the very end of the movie, the final credits."

When the band finally saw the film they apparently “liked it so much that they've written the score, most of the ambient music throughout it.”

Choke is due to be released in October this year.
