Michael Mann's trilby-and-tommy-guns epic Public Enemies is heading this way in all it's spats-y, stylish glory, and Universal have geared up for its US release with a couple of new TV spots. The two ads show Johnny Depp in full bank-robbing affect as infamous gangster John Dillinger, with Christian Bale hot on his heels as Melvin Purvis, the FBI G-Man trying to bring him down.
Bale and Depp are merely the tip of the Mann-berg though, with an awesome supporting cast including Stephen Graham (Baby Face Nelson), Marion Cotillard (Billie Frechette), Giovanni Ribisi (Alvin Karpis), Channing Tatum ( Pretty Boy Floyd), Stephen Dorff (Homer van Meter) and Billy Crudup as FBI founder and resident weirdo J. Edgar Hoover.
Public Enemies is released in the UK on July 3.
