Potter Reigns Supreme At UK Box Office

There were no points for guessing which certain someone would continue to weave his magic on audiences for another weekend, as Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince reigns for a second week over the UK box office.

He may have been usurped by CGI rodents in the US as G-Force took the lead in their hamster wheels, but Potter fans topped up Leavesden's coffers to a respectable £33 million so far, and even newcomer The Proposal (which took the US by storm) couldn't match it's second weekend takings of £5,176,950 with its opening numbers.

Next in line was Ice Age III which in its fourth week is still above Bruno in its weekend takings. But most interesting fall of the month was Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, which sank below the age old The Hangover to sixth place this weekend, despite raking in a massive £25.8 million since its release six weeks ago.

Coming up the rear were Michael Mann's Public Enemies in seventh spot, tear-jerker My Sister's Keeper in eighth, Moon at nine in its second week of release, and Antichrist which entered the chart in tenth position.
