Perfect Getaway For Steve Zahn

Steve Zahn has joined Timothy Olyphant in the cast of David Twohy’s thriller, A Perfect Getaway.

The movie revolves around a newlywed couple, honeymooning in Hawaii, who run into two hitchhikers who turn out to be psychotic killers.

Olyphant signed on sometime ago as one of the killers (shame – we’d like to see him be the good guy. After all, Deadwood proved he has the chops for it), and now Zahn has agreed to play the honeymooning husband.

Zahn is an enormously likeable presence and a much better actor than he’s often given credit for (perhaps due to his daffy persona which, admittedly, has been a tad pervasive in his movies thus far), so we hope this role will showcase a talent that deserves a hell of a lot better than films like Strange Wilderness and National Security.

Twohy – a director who seems to thrive on mid-budget B movies, will direct from his script, with filming set to start on March 31 in Puerto Rico and Hawaii. Bagsy that set visit, guys!
