There's not much here that we didn't see in Robert Rodriguez's sneak peak from earlier in the week, but here, without all the on-set stuff and the producer chat, is the official first trailer for Predators.
Taking us back to the jungle (after the city of Predator 2, the cough pyramid of AvP and the shudder small American town and highschool of Requiem) this looks to be Predator as God (or at least, John McTiernan) intended. Band of hardasses? Check. Someone going over a waterfall? Yup. And is that... could it be... is somebody firing Ol' Painless there?
It's easy to forget, given how visible Rod is on the project, that Nimrod Antal is the director. And as you well know by now, the happy few who ain't got time to bleed are Adrian Brody, Laurence Fishburne, Topher Grace, Danny Trejo, Alice Braga, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, Walton Goggins and Louis Ozawa Changchien. The release date is August 11th.
