Now You See Me Trailer Appears

Though the heist film is a tried-and-true part of the crime genre, it’s not often you see a really nifty twist on the idea. But Now You See Me appears to offer exactly that, with a team called the Four Horsemen pulling off an audacious and seemingly impossible robbery during their Vegas act. The trailer is online and must be seen to be believed (OK, just seen) above.

Jesse Eisenberg stars as Atlas, the leader of the Horsemen; a team that also includes Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco. When he and his partners contrive to send a rich man to his bank in France from their Vegas stage – and then distribute his money to their audience of fraud victims – the FBI gets involved.

Agent Dylan Hobbs (Mark Ruffalo) is trying to uncover the truth behind the crime, and he enlists the help of Alma (Melanie Laurent) a seemingly suspicious Interpol agent, and Thaddeus (Morgan Freeman) a famed magic debunker in his investigation. But who can he trust? And what’s real?

Directed by Louis Leterrier, the film promises some visual dazzle and, given the cast, our fingers are crossed for good performances. It’ll open here on June 21. OR WILL IT? (Throws, smoke bomb, runs away, trips). Er, yes, it will.
