While this latest look at Marc Forster’s **World War Z **is still heavy on the large-scale chaos we can expect from the adaptation of Max Brooks’ zombie novel, we ‘re also given more of a glimpse into Brad Pitt’s character, Gerry Lane. Have a gander below.

Lane is a devoted husband and father who also happens to be a top expert on sorting global problems for the UN. When a strange pandemic of the rising undead sweeps the world, Lane is called back into service under protest to help figure out what the hell is going on as huge swathes of the planet's population fall victim to the growing terror.

Everything we’ve seen of the film so far points to a blend of 28 Days Later and Zero Dark Thirty, with Pitt anchoring a huge cast that also includes Mireille Enos, David Morse, James Badge Dale and Elyes Gabel. The latest poster has also landed; you can see that below.

**World War Z **has itself been fighting a battle against negative publicity, particularly surrounding the ending, which had its script tinkered with by Damon Lindelof and Drew Goddard and re-shot by Forster. But as we see more and more footage from this thing – particularly the impressive plane scene at the end of the new trailer – our hopes rise.

The film arrives on June 21. For more, check out the official site.
