The third Water For Elephants trailer has arrived online, offering more snippets of pachyderms, R Pattz and Reese Witherspoon lying down on a horse.
We’re being glib, we know, and that isn’t fair – especially considering that Christoph Waltz is playing a mad ol’ circus owner – and there’s a whole host of fans of the original historical novel who can’t wait to see the final product on the big screen.
The previous trailers have concentrated more on the university days, when Jacob Jankowski (Pattison) was studying to become a veterinarian, as well as the older Jankowski, looking back on what happened while he was working for The Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth.
Watching all three of them may well tell you the grand total of the plot, but considering so many people have read the book, perhaps they’re presuming you know what’s going to happen anyway, cuckolding, tent-collapsing and elephant-nursing and all.
