Hailed as something of a bullet-flinging comeback for Keanu Reeves upon its arrival in the States, vengeful hit man thriller John Wick is finally set to make an appearance over here in April. To help remind us of its existence, a new trailer has emerged online.
Reeves is the titular hard nut, who has given up bullet slinging for a quiet life after his wife dies. But, because he’s a cinematic assassin, his life can never quite be that easy or calm. On a random errand, he runs afoul of some gangsters who take a shine to his car. Rebuffed, they track him down and take everything, even killing his beloved dog. Enraged, Wick picks up the tools of his trade once more and soon no-one is safe...
With stunts and martial arts expert Chad Stahelski directing and The Package’s Derek Kolstad providing the script, this one promises plenty of OTT action and a dark sense of wit driving the story. Adrianne Palicki, Willem Dafoe, Bridget Moynahan, Ian McShane, Jason Isaacs, Alfie Allen, Lance Reddick, John Leguizamo and Michael Nyqvist are all part of the cast, and John Wick will roll into our cinemas on April 10.
