New UK Poster For The Interview

If you’re one of our North Korean readers, it might be a good time to check out another section of the site – look, Avatar’s been delayed! – because The Interview is coming to our shores and it has a new poster that you probably won’t like. For everyone else, it’s here for your perusal. Click below to see Kim Jong-un’s least favourite film in all its comic raiments and rogue tigers. James Franco is Dave Skylark, the none-too-bright but very popular host of celebrity tabloid TV show Skylark Tonight. When he and producer/best pal Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) learn that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is a fan of their work, they manage to land an interview with him, seeing it as their chance to establish themselves as legitimate journalists. But with their travel to Pyongyang booked, the CIA decides that Dave and Aaron are the best shot they have at assassinating Kim, and set about finding a way for the two least qualified men imaginable to off a world leader. Naturally, things do not go quite to plan...

And, of course, that pretty much applies to the movie’s release strategy too, although, interestingly, its UK release remains fixed to the date earmarked for it from the get-go.

To recap, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s comedy has sparked more carnage than anything the pair have been involved with since the apocalypse bit of This Is The End. There’s been hacks and leaks and cyber-warfare and sanctions and now, finally, the film is landing in the UK. See it for yourself from February 6.
