It’s not unheard of for films to change their names when they travel across borders, especially if, in the case of something like Laggies, the original title doesn't make any obvious sense. So the Keira Knightley/Chloe Moretz/Sam Rockwell comedy drama Laggies is now called Say When in the UK, and has posted a new trailer online to prove it.
Knightley is Megan, a young woman approaching 30 who has yet to really sort her life out. When her devoted boyfriend Anthony (Mark Webber) proposes, Megan’s suddenly panics that this is everything her life will ever be, and runs off.
She ends up hanging out with teenager Annika (Moretz) and her single dad Craig (Rockwell). Soon, Megan’s reliving her youth, although this time that apparently includes making out with Craig. Then there’s her friend Allison (Ellie Kemper) who disapproves of Megan’s new lifestyle… It looks like it could be fun, and Knightley and Rockwell in particular seem to play well off each other.
Directed by Lynn Shelton, who last brought us Your Sister’s Sister and Touchy Feely,** S****ay When** will arrive here on November 7.
