July 21. It’s only a couple of months away now, but when you consider that it’s when those in the UK finally get to see Toy Story 3, it begins to sound like far too long to wait. Not helping at all is the latest behind the scenes video from the Pixar crew, which has popped online, and which you can see below.
There’s some fresh footage to be found lurking within the piece, which boils down to the likes of director Lee Unkrich, producer Darla K Anderson and cast members Michael Keaton (Ken) and Ned Beatty (Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear) talking about the film’s premise and how much they enjoyed working on it. Keaton in particular seems to be enthused at the idea of playing a toy trying to deal with the idea that he’s basically an accessory for Barbie.
If there’s one warning we’d offer, it’s that it goes into a little more of the plot than you might have seen, especially if you’ve stayed away from all of the trailers so far. If you’re hoping to see the film all fresh and new and pure, then you might want to skip this.
So, yeah… July 21. Must… be… patient.
