UPDATE: With Comic-Con in full swing, a new image has emerged. Check it out in the gallery alongside the other poster. And the UK teaser poster, announced then pulled before the convention, is also back online in an official capacity.
If it feels like Horns – adapted from Joe Hill’s excellent horror novel – has been lingering in the underworld for a while, that’s because it’s been waiting and waiting for a solid release date after playing festivals last year. The film has finally stumped up the crossing fee for the River Styx and will hit UK cinemas at Halloween. Here to prove it is the first teaser poster featuring the devilish Daniel Radcliffe.
Radcliffe plays Ig Perrish, the never-convicted prime suspect for the violent rape and murder of his girlfriend Merrin (Juno Temple). Hungover from a night of hard drinking, Ig awakens one morning to find horns growing from his head and soon realises that their power drives people to confess their sins and give in to their most selfish and unspeakable impulses – an effective tool in his quest to discover the true circumstances of his late girlfriend’s tragedy and to exact revenge on her killer. {New Horns Images}
Directed by Alexandre Aja from Keith Bunin’s adaptation of the novel, Horns is one of those films we’re eager to finally see. The cast also boasts the likes of David Morse, Max Minghella, Kathleen Quinlan, Heather Graham and James Remar, and the film will hit UK cinemas on October 31 - surely the perfect day.
