Richard Ayoade's Submarine is not a nautical epic but a coming-of-age story set in Wales in the 1970s. But while that might not sound appetising in itself, what Ayoade's done with the film is looking pretty awesome from where we're sitting, so you might want a look at the new trailer and UK poster.
The film focuses on Oliver Tate (Craig Roberts), a 15 year-old who is set on two goals: keeping his parents (Noah Taylor and Sally Hawkins) together (despite the nefarious attentions of Paddy Considine's mullet man) and trying to get into bed with his schoolmate Jordana (Yasmin Paige).

Ayoade is, of course, a member of The IT Crowd and a veteran of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, one of the great underseen sitcoms, so you'd expect this to be funny and offbeat. But it promises to be a bit more than that, we reckon: have a look and see what you think.
