The new trailer for David Fincher’s latest, The Social Network, has been shoved online by Sony and you can watch it below.
Following on from the tradition set by the first promo, this latest teaser features zero footage from the film, but intriguingly sets dialogue to Facebook chat/status updates featuring pictures of the cast and the names of the people they play.
It’s a stylish change from the usual rote trailer, even if it does make us start to worry that no one thought to put film in the camera when they were making the movie itself and all we have is the recorded dialogue.
But we’re eager to see what this thing looks like, and with Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake, Andrew Garfield and more all working from an Aaron Sorkin script, even the dialogue by itself crackles with life.
Following the drama behind the controversial creation of Facebook, the film charts the work of Mark Zuckerberg and his fellow programmers at Harvard in 2003.
The movie is apparently set to open the 48th Annual New York Film Festival this September, but you don’t care about that, you just want to get straight to the trailer. Enjoy!
The Social Network sends a friend request to our cinemas on October 15.
