The latest trailer for Shrek Forever After, or what DreamWorks is still insisting will be the final outing for Shrek and co (except, of course, for the possible Puss-In-Boots spin-off and any future films should this one deliver another solid box office performance), has arrived on the web.
It lays out a little more of the story: our ogre hero, feeling a little bored with married life, makes a deal with Rumpelstiltskin (bad idea; hasn’t he ready any fairy ta… oh, right) for one more day as a fearsome monster.
But it’s a trick! The crafty little devil steals the day Shrek met Fiona, changing Far, Far Away into a land ruled by the Rumpel, where Fiona is a rebel fighting his cruel dictatorship, none of Shrek’s pals know him, and Puss is a pudgy, lazy cat.
Can Shrek make everything right? We guess probably. Check out the trailer below. The film itself arrives on July 2.
