Bidi-bidi-bidi, it's robot time! Well,** Robot & Frank **time at least, with this new clip from the oddball sci-fi of the year to date here to help merrily while away the rest of your Friday afternoon.
Frank (Frank Langella) and Robot (robot) are an odd-couple pair - curmudgeonly ex-con Frank takes the Matthau role - brought together when Frank's son (James Marsden) decides that his ailing dad needs a pair of automated hands to help around the place. In this scene, Frank and his librarian ladyfriend (Susan Sarandon) try to persuade their robots to make friends at a nice at a drinks reception, with mixed results.

We're loving very many things here, not least Peter Sarsgaard's deadpan delivery as the voice of Robot and the straight-faced tone of the kooky quartet's interaction.
Robot & Frank is out on March 8.
