A new documentary celebrating the life and work of the great Ray Harryhausen, Ray Harryhausen: Special Effects Titan, is heading for our cinemas and we've laid a pair of monster-sized paws on its new poster. Fittingly, many of Harryhausen's greatest creatures are present and correct. There's Kali, Medusa, Talos, Bubo, Calibos, the Cyclops, the Roc and a clutch of skeletons. We're guessing the giant squirrel from The 3 Worlds Of Gulliver was too busy gathering huge acorns to make the shoot.

The new doc features contributions from heavyweight fans like Steven Spielberg and James Cameron. As Empire's review points out this month, it's also brimming with "stunning test footage and genius clips". Should be plenty for Harryhausen aficionados and stop-motion fans to get their teeth into.

**Ray Harryhausen: Special Effects Titan **is out on November 9. For more on the great man in the meantime, check out our rundown of 20 great stop-motion monsters.
