Those attending the San Diego Comic-Con this year might be disappointed to learn that veteran crowd-worker Vin Diesel will not be showing up to promote The Last Witch Hunter thanks to other filming commitments. To ease the pain a tiny amount, two new posters featuring very different looks at his character in the film are now online.
The movie, directed by Breck Eisner, finds Diesel as an immortal warrior who finds himself in present-day New York having to face down a powerful witch queen intent on unleashing a terrible plague that could wipe out the human race.
His chief ally in the fight, however, is a female witch (Game Of Thrones’ Rose Leslie), who teams up with him to help take down the rising evil. Julie Engelbrecht is the main villain, with Elijah Wood, Michael Caine and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson all aboard.
That time-spanning concept means we see Diesel’s Kaulder in two very distinct periods – his scruffy warrior look stems from centuries ago, while the other is from his more up to date Noo Yoik adventures.
Talking of time, The Last Witch Hunter arrives in the States on October 23 before making its way here on October 30.
