Those awaiting Men, Women & Children, the latest film from Jason Reitman, will be happy to learn that not only does the film have a slot at this year’s London Film Festival, but it’s also found a UK release date. To add to all of that, there’s an artful new poster for the drama, which you can see below.
The film follows a group of high school teenagers and their parents as they navigate the murky waters of social media and how the internet has changed their relationships, their self-image and their communication.
Adapted from Chad Kultgen’s novel, Reitman’s new script tackles social issues such as video game culture, anorexia, infidelity, fame hunting, and privacy issues online. The characters – adults and teens alike – find their relationships tested and their world changed by their interaction with phones, tablets and computers. The poster helps illustrate that, and is a striking image a world away from the usual photoshopped one-sheets.
Adam Sandler, Ansel Elgort, Dean Norris, Dennis Haysbert, Emma Thompson, Jennifer Garner, J.K. Simmons, Judy Greer, Kaitlyn Dever and Rosemarie DeWitt are all part of the cast, and the film will screen at both the Toronto and London Film Festivals before heading to cinemas in the UK on October 24.
