Clearly, the Foxman family likes to do things without standing on tradition. As does the team behind This Is Where I Leave You, rebelliously releasing the first poster after the trailer – which you can watch here – has already been and gone. But since members of the family are played by the likes of Tina Fey and Jason Bateman, we’ll allow it.

The movie, adapted by Jonathan Tropper from his novel, finds four grown siblings from the Foxman clan (Fey, Bateman, Corey Stoll and Adam Driver) dealing with the slings and arrows that come with adult life. When their father dies, they’re forced to return home and spend a week living under the same roof again, dealing with their over-sharing mother (Jane Fonda) and a revolving door of spouses, partners, exes and old sweethearts that hardly make the grieving process easier.

As the days pass, they start to confront their history and assess the frayed state of their relationships from a different perspective. Might they even learn something, assuming they don’t kill each other first?

Shawn Levy wrangled the cast together, which also includes Abigail Spencer, Timothy Olyphant, Connie Britton, Kathryn Hahn, Dax Shepard and Ben Schwartz. **This Is Where I Leave You **is out on September 12.
