The latest film from animation studio Laika, The Boxtrolls, sees a race of small creatures living under the streets of the small town of Cheesebridge. No, not mice, but some odd-looking creatures whose favoured attire is the common cardboard box. Here's a new one-sheet for the film, showcasing rather brighter, summery colours than previous efforts.
The story's focus is Eggs (Game Of Thrones' Isaac Hempstead-Wright), an orphan raised by the trolls who tentatively strikes up a friendship with a surface-dwelling girl (Winnie, voiced by Elle Fanning). But Eggs' happy life is threatened when an evil exterminator, Archibald Snatcher (Ben Kingsley) - well with a name like that he was never going to be nice - targets the Boxtrolls for extermination. The fiend! And they look so amusing too.
Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Richard Ayoade, Toni Collette, Tracy Morgan and Jared Harris are also among the cast for the film, which is directed by Graham Annable and Anthony Stacchi. The Boxtrolls hits the UK on September 12.
