With the film now a little over a month away, the third trailer for Despicable Me spin-off Minions has arrived to babble on the web. Take a peek at a bit more from Kevin, Stuart & Bob’s misadventures below.
Featuring a mash-up from the two previous promos and some new footage, we get the brief history of the Minions from their first steps on land and more background on their driving desire to serve the biggest and baddest boss around. Sadly for the little yellow fellows, they’re also a bunch of incompetent meddlers who seem to cause the downfall of everyone they work for.
Cut to our main trio rocking up in America to look for the new epitome of evil to serve. Heading to Florida in 1968, they attend Villain-Con International and luck in with a gig working for devious supervillain Scarlett Overkill (Sandra Bullock) and her hubby Herb (Jon Hamm). Whisking them off to England, Scarlett engages their assistance in stealing the crown from Queen Elizabeth. Who, as the trailer, would have us believe, was quite the brawler back in her day.
It looks like fun and fans of the pill-shaped beasties should get exactly the dose of Minion madness they need.
With Steve Coogan, Michael Keaton, Allison Janney, Jennifer Saunders, Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud among the voice cast, Coffin and Kyle Balda are calling the shots on this one, working from a script by Brian Lynch. Minions scuttles on to UK screens on June 26.
