In April, we saw the initial teaser trailer for Keanu Reeves’ first stab at directing, Man Of Tai Chi. Now here comes the international trailer, full of kicking, punching, death holds and Reeves himself snarling, “Finish him!” which is probably a personal dream of his…

The man of Tai Chi in question is young “Tiger” Chen Lin Hu (Tiger Hu Chen) who spends his days working as a courier. But by night he’s a martial arts star, having worked hard to become adept at the Ling Kong Tai Chi tradition.

Slowly rising up the standings in the prestigious Wulin Wang championship, Tiger is approached by powerful Hong Kong businessman Donaka Mark (Reeves) who runs a brutal underground fighting where combatants clash without rules and wealthy patrons watch via private webcams.

Donaka sees Tiger as a new star, and while the young man resists initially, he agrees when his temple is threatened with redevelopment and the illegal fights are a source of cash to save it. Yet can he keep the darkness within and without from consuming him? And will the police catch up to everyone?

Reeves, working from a script from Michael G. Cooney, enlisted Matrix fight choreographer Yuen Woo-Ping to handle the action scenes, and the result is a flurry of fists and more.

**Man Of Tai Chi **is still listed as simply coming soon, so we’ll let you know when there’s a release date announced.
