Two new Let Me In have appeared online, courtesy of the good people at Imp Awards, and very eye-catching they are too.
Front and centre is Chloe Moretz's vampire Abby, whose forlorn, transitory existence is given new meaning when she meets shy schoolboy Owen (The Road's Kodi Smit-McPhee) after moving into his building. But this isn't a tween romance and things don't run so smoothly, Richard Jenkins' creepy father-figure a malignant reminder of Abby's darker side.
It's safe to say not everyone was convinced by the plan to remake the Swedish kitchen-sink horror, but the more we see of Matt Reeves' vision, the more we want to get our teeth into it. Anyone who saw its Movie-Con III footage, two seriously impressive scenes that mingled serial-killer schlock and awe with a mood of frostbitten tenderness, will testify that Reeves has remained faithful to the tone of Tomas Alfredson's original while creating something all of its own.
