Given the sheer number of properties DreamWorks Animation has been buying up recently to develop into ‘toons, there may come a day when the company ends up releasing five or six trailers at the same time. Okay, so Jeffrey Katzenberg has said they’re throttling back on release plans, so that’s unlikely, but today brings two different new promos – one for **Puss in Boots and another new trailer for Kung Fu Panda 2.
This new Panda promo offers a lot more fresh footage than we’ve seen in the previous teaser or Superbowl spot. This time, we actually get to follow Po (Jack Black) and his fellow kung fu masters as they battle to stop Lord Shen (Gary Oldman) from destroying the noble fighting art altogether with his new gunpowder weapons. His ultimate aim? To conquer China…
As well as Black, the regular voices – Angelina Jolie, Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan, David Cross, Lucy Liu and Dustin Hoffman are back in action for a sequel that promises to widen the world of the kung fu masters while also dipping into Po’s mysterious origins.
